The Business Acquisition Manager Opportunity:

As a talented Business Acquisition Manager are you thinking about your next career step, keen to grow your own consultative sales team and carve out your niche in an entrepreneurial, dynamic IT solutions business?  Being part of our ambitious growth strategy, our Business Acquisition Manager will focus on selling “the Internet of Things and High Availability” solutions to Enterprise, SME and Channel clients. Based in Nottingham, Polestar are High Availability technology infrastructure specialists for major UK & International clients.

Creating the journey together, our Business Acquisition Manager will secure sales pipelines into new markets in the Manufacturing, Utilities and Automation sectors.  With a demonstrable track record of new business wins in a B2B environment and experience of the full sales cycle, you’ll build trust based relationships with clients initiating conversations around business continuity and High Availability technology.  Ideally you’ll be from an IT solutions, Systems Integration, Manufacturing or similar industry background with a strong desire to get into “the Internet of Things”.  We’re committed to investing in our people, so a continual professional development plan will be created for our new BAM.  Primarily covering the North and the Midlands, but also the UK and some International territories, this home-based role will include approx. 80% travel, generating prospects, nurturing clients and securing new business.

The Ideal Candidate:
  • Proven success in delivering high-growth sales in a B2B based solutions environment
  • "Hunter” sales mentality, tenacious, persuasive and confident
  • Impressive track record of aggressive business growth, delivering new business wins & exceeding sales targets
  • Full sales cycle experience: preferably in the Automation, Oil, Gas or Utilities sector

  • Tech savviness with knowledge of Industrial IT/OT or PLC & SCADA platforms and technologies

  • Systems Integrator experience would be advantageous
  • Polished presence with the ability to interact with clients as a consultative partner

  • £30k-£35K basic + 50% OTE
